More contributions from the fandom

As if Ben Yee of wasn't already busy with his own site, he comes though with a few more blister card scans for some Age of Extinction deluxes.

Cordy from Facebook once again supplied a card image from Victory, this time of Liokaiser!

Victor Wong from Facebook was nice enough to send me the image of ToyWorld's new Infinitor.

I personally picked up a new Heroes of Cybertron figure, my first in a very long time. Scanned and added the bio card as well as the card back.

Beast Wars II - Cybertrons

I had already established that I was importing toys I already owned just to get the included bio card, so to say I was excited over the Beast Wars II series is an understatement. The animal based Transformers were the main stay by now, but instead of sticking with what Hasbro was doing in the west, Takara opted to take a different route and released Beast Wars II - a wholly new television series and toy line for the Japanese market.

Of course the trading card sized bio cards would make a return, this time with the front of the card featuring CGI of the character over top a real world photo background. The back of the cards are a little busy for me, but the front of the cards are beautiful.

 Lioconvoy C-01

One of the cooler versions of Convoy, this character would also play a part during the Robot Masters series. He would also receive a new deluxe size toy based on this mold.

 Apache C-12

Always loved this toy. Convincing looking beast mode, articulated robot mode with a bonus gun platform transformation. Plus his Japanese name trumps is U.S. name, B'Boom.

 Bigmos C-17

Leave it that one of the smallest animals (mosquito) would receive one of the larger toys in the line.

 Drillnuts C-21

Released as the Predacon Drill Bit in Hasbro's Beast Wars, I much prefer the muted color scheme of Drillnuts.

 Mantis C-20

Part of the mariachi like Insectron group, this guy just doesn't look convincing as a good guy.

 Powerhug C-18

Liojunior C-26

One part of Magnaboss X-4

 Santon C-28

One part of Magnaboss X-4

 DJ C-23

One part of Tripledacus X-3

 Motorarm C-24

One part of Tripledacus X-3

 Gimlet C-25

Ikard X-5

Ikard came packaged with the awesome Taktotank and is a repaint of Scuba / Claw Jaw.

Takara Beast Wars

I blame my love of collecting Transformers bio cards on the first series of Beast Wars from Japan. It seemed as if this series started the ongoing trend of all Takara product containing the trading card sized bios. It didn't take me long before I was importing the Takara version of the Hasbro figure...not for the better paint apps, but for the card alone! Crazy, right?

The red Convobat (Optimus Primal) card came from the CD-ROM exclusive 2 pack, one of my first ever Botcon purchases.

The back of all the Cybertron/Maximal cards have the same generic back. I'm not sure if the barcode on these serves any type of purpose or not.

The purple Megalligator (Megatron) card hails from the CD-ROM 2 pack as well.

Heroes of Cybertron

I've finally found the time to pull out my Transformers card binder and start tackling the daunting task of scanning the hundreds of cards I have. I decided to start with one of the smaller series of cards, Heroes of Cybertron. After getting these scanned in it left me with the feeling that a few cards are missing from my binder, but for now enjoy these latest additions.

Is it just me or does it look like Prime's mouth plate is blue?

Did you catch that Perceptor has two differently colored hands?

You probably noticed the art on the Sunstorm card looks different (better) than the others. That is because it was an exclusive to the Official Transformers Collector's Club (OTFCC) event in 2003. 3H Enterprises had signed a two year deal with the hotel/convention center in Rosemont, IL so to entice patrons to pre-register for the 2004 show, Sunstorm was given away as that incentive to go ahead and commit for the following year. The toy itself is a simply repaint of the Heroes of Cybertron Starscream toy. I believe Dan Khanna supplied the nice artwork for the card.
