A Big Blue Update

It's been several months since the last update to the site. I've been busy working on other things, however I still have a few things I need to get uploaded to the site as well.

A few days ago I was browsing YouTube and I ran across Primal Sabbath's channel and his video review of Transformers Legends EX Big Blue Convoy. I kind of forget about this toy and while at one time I probably would've pre-ordered the guy, I felt this one just wasn't needed in my collection. I did however want a nice scan of the included instruction booklet for the site and Primal Sabbath was happy to provide. Check it out...

For a toy that started off as a Lucky Draw contest exclusive, I never would have thought that the masses would be able to own such a unique color scheme as this. Very cool deco. I highly recommend you check out the video review of the toy.

Thanks again Primal Sabbath for the submission!

Masterpiece Images Found

While digging through an old external hard drive this evening I discovered I had a few Masterpiece card images that I hadn't uploaded to the Database.

I never owned either of these toys, but somehow I ended up with scans of these tech spec cards. I wish I knew where I got these from so I could give credit where credit is due.

I also had a much cleaner image of MP-11 Starscream on the hard drive. This image is brighter and looks so much better than what I had previously uploaded.

Perhaps I should keep on digging into what is on this hard drive...Lord knows what I'll find next!

Update - Optimal Optimus Joins the Database

I know the updates have slowed down around here, but so have the submissions. Still working on getting some older cards I have scanned, but in the meantime here is a card from possibly my last Power of the Primes purchase...none other than Optimal Optimus himself.

A spin-off of sorts

I've been kicking around the idea of showcasing the various cards/art from the current Transformers TCG from Wizards of the Coast for some time. I thought briefly about adding a sub-section to this site, but as others shared with me I too thought that it would have been a little out of place. So I created a new visual database of sorts called the Transformers TCG Database.

Like with this project, I'll need all the help I can get as I'm a little behind with wave 2 already on retail shelves and wave 3 already announced. This doesn't mean this site is done however. I still have a lot of work to do here and while I've been working on beefing up the toy review blog (Random Toy Review) I've also been working on scanning more bio cards from my own collection.

I'll be honest and say there are times I wonder why I create so much "work" for myself, such as launching another site when it's hard to keep constant updates and content coming for the blogs I already have established...but I always keep coming around to one word as to why I do this. Fun. I hope others find what I do to be entertaining or informative, but most of all I hope others find what I do in my corner of the internet to be fun as well.

While this new project is just getting off the floor, the first update has been posted so head on over to the new site to see what's going on.

Update: Transformers Legends

I spent a better part of my Saturday this weekend opening more Legends toys and scanning the instructions and comics. Still have another batch to scan, then I'll start work on adding a section for the crazy comics that are printed on the reverse side of the instructions. These images have been added to the master Legends section as well.
